Gators linebacker commit Vosean Joseph visited Florida Tuesday with a few of his teammates from Miami Norland.
The ESPN300 member attended one of UF’s spring practices in March, but he was no spectator on this week’s visit.
Joseph participated in Tuesday’s summer camp session and worked out with Florida linebackers coach Randy Shannon, his primary recruiter.
“I got to work with coach Shannon and that made my day,” he said. “He’s a great coach. He taught a lot of new things, especially with tackling. It was awesome. He told me I was learning everything perfect.”
The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder also had a chat with Gators coach Jim McElwain.
“I was great talking to him again,” Joseph said. “He called me to his office and told me he’s happy that I’m going to be part of the team. He definitely made me feel like family.”
Rivals250 linebacker Emmett Rice, a teammate of Joseph, joined him on the trip. He is currently committed to Florida State, but UF offered him in February and has been pushing for a flip since.
“We had fun on the visit,” Joseph said. “I wanted him to see how it is, and he told me he liked it. I don’t know how much it helped, but I’d say Florida has a chance. I talk him to everyday about becoming a Gator.”
Joseph is scheduled to camp at Auburn and FSU this week and plans to return to Florida soon.
