UF is in the running for another receiver from South Florida.
A few months removed from landing Antonio Callaway on 2015 signing day and Isaiah Johnson for 2016, the Gators have the interest of four-star wideout Cavin Ridley.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder from Deerfield Beach released his top schools Wednesday, naming a top five of Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State and LSU.
Ridley plans to visit UF this weekend as the Gators begin their summer camp sessions.
He made a trip to Gainesville in late March and met with coach Jim McElwain and assistant Kerry Dixon.
“The trip was nice,” Ridley told Bleacher Report. “I had a chance to talk to them and see how I fit into their play style. The coaches are nice guys.”
Ridley’s brother, Calvin, was a five-star WR in the previous recruiting cycle.
Both brothers grew up Florida fans, but UF was unable to recruit the Alabama signee due to the recruiting violation by Joker Phillips.
But there’s no holding back the Gators from younger Ridley, and they appear to be in great shape with him at this time.
