Florida continued expanding its recruiting board Wednesday and offered a pair of three-star prospects.
The newest UF targets are Manvel, Texas, running back D’Vaughn Pennamon (5-11, 199) and Mount Dora offensive center Brett Heggie (6-4, 290).

Despite their current star ratings, both Pennamon and Heggie now have 19 offers with more undoubtedly on the way.
Pennamon has received offers from Georgia and Ole Miss this month, while Miami, Mississippi State and Louisville all joined Heggie’s offer list in the past week.
Florida fans have expressed concerns about some of the UF targets this year, especially with the 2016 class already containing mostly three-star prospects, but Pennamon and Heggie appear to be fast-rising recruits and should see their ratings improve moving forward.
Moreover, the Gators have yet to reach the point where they can consistently attract top-tier talent under new Jim McElwain and his staff. A good product needs to hit the field before the elite high schoolers come calling. Until then, the Florida coaches have to do their due diligence and keep finding potentials gems such as Pennamon and Heggie.
