Miami Booker T. Washington cornerback Da’Vante Davis attended his first Florida game Saturday against LSU.
He visited with teammate Devonaire Clarington, ESPN’s top-ranked tight end for 2015.
“It was pretty good,” Davis said. “The atmosphere was crazy.”
Davis said the loss by the Gators, who offered him in the summer, didn’t bother him.
“They were out there making plays,” he said. “It’s still good. They stack pretty high (on his list).”
The 6-foot-2, 183-pounder holds more than 20 offers but appears to be focused on four schools.
He plans to officially visit Florida State this weekend and Alabama in the future. Davis said UF will probably receive a return trip from him after the season.
He has no timeline on a decision.
“I dont know, probably sooner rather than later,” he said. “I just need to talk with my coaches. I have an idea of who I like because I talk to some schools more than I talk to other schools.
“I hear from Florida, Florida State, Alabama and Miami. I don’t have really any leaders right now.”
If you can flat out go get the foot ball then by all means come. Its that easy of a choice. We need dudes who can come down with the football no matter the QB or DB your dealing with at the time.
All these kids sound like cocky pre-madonnas! Our society has just gone to the street. I know a lot will say he is not showing his hand…but he just sounds like he is owed something. Either you want to be a Gator or you don’t, it’s cut & dry…done! I just don’t get why recruiting is rocket science these days!!
it’S HARD FOR A KID 17-18 YEARS OLD NOT TO BE A PREMADONA , WHEN YOU HAVE HALF OF THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL WORLD KISSING YOUR BUTT AND TREATING YOU LIKE ROYALTY. DON’T DOWN THE KIDS FOR THEIR MENTALITY IT IS CREATED BY THE VERY SYSTEM THAT WE FOLLOW ZACH’S POST. THIS IS WHAT THE SYSTEM HAS CREATED, SO DON’T BLAME THE TEENAGERS GROWN UP SET UP THIS SYSTEM. GO GATORS!!!!

What article did you read? Where in those ~250 words did you get the feeling of primadonna???
By the way.. rarely is picking where one will attend college a cut and dry decision. Athlete or not, it’s a GREAT thing that there are options.
THANKS BSJGATOR for the english lesson.GoGATORS!!!!
To Gator in MD. The answer is parents and money.
I do blame the system….but it is mostly these types of kids that come to represent your school & play A GAME for FREE & then feel they are above the law & untouchable because of this type of attitude. I blame the system but tend to lean towards the parents & up bringing. I hate recruiting anymore because of the fact that they get their butts kissed & treated like stars & for what…..playing well in high school? I want what’s best for the Gators & I want recruits that want to be a Gator!
Wow Gator in MD.. chill out. The kid has every right to mull his choices. He’s not exactly pulling a Dalvin Cook here. He simply has a group of schools he is interested in and is trying to figure out which fits him best. You know… being thorough and SMART about his decision. Heck, a lot of 17-18 year olds aren’t even diehard fans of ANY team until they go to that school or some other event that makes them land on a team. I’m a Spurs fan cuz that was the first basketball game I went to AFTER graduating high school, a friend of mine was a Giants fan cuz he was given a Giants hat when he was a kid. It’s just sports. It’s just fun. It’s his life, stop deriding him because he is not a diehard Gator — yet.
