Jerome Baker has the skill set to become an All-SEC linebacker at Florida, but he does his damage in high school on the offensive side of the ball.

The consensus top-100 recruit from Cleveland (Ohio) Benedictine for 1,540 yards and 26 touchdowns last year and led his team to the state championship game.

Baker has continued his dominance as a senior. He rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries in Saturday’s 27-6 victory over Youngstown Ursuline.

The 6-foot-1, 210-pounder also caught a 16-yard touchdown, the game’s first score, before breaking off TD runs of 55 and 54 yards.

Baker is averaging 11 yards per carry through two games this season.

QB Sheriron Jones, Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde: Jones threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns on 16-of-22 passing and led his offense on three consecutive 80-yard scoring drives to start the game. Rancho Verde routed Murrieta Mesa, 59-16.

LB Adonis Thomas, Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett: Thomas registered eight tackles and three quarterback hurries as his team bounced back from its week one loss with a 21-8 win over Murray’s Mill.

  1. Please don’t pretend that you are hoping that he goes to UF. It would be a good feeling for you if he went to OSU. Think you would be more concerned that FSU has not looked as good this year. It seems they may have lost their edge from last year. Good thing they play in a weak conference.

  2. That FSU is just that stupid?? Haha How about the players FSU did offer that chose UF> More of those guys than guys UF offered that chose FSU. Speaking of which don’t get too attached to Campbell or Bello. I’d be willing to bet after the season Florida has and putting a whoopin on the Noles that they both end up in Florida. Just like ole Dante!

  3. What is really sad is that a Seninole fan, James Fisher, has such a terrible life that in order to feel better about himself, feels the need to constantly take the time to post negative comments on a Gator board. What happened Jimmy, did you get kicked off your own team’s message board? Stay classy fella… are representing the Nole fan base in perfect form.
