Recruiting always picks up with the start of spring football, and that will be the case for Florida this weekend.

The Gators have several high-profile visitors attending the next two practices.

The biggest names on campus are running Damien Harris (Berea, Ky./Madison Southern) and offensive tackle Martez Ivey (Apopka), both of whom will be at today’s practice. Harris is the nation’s top running back according to Rivals and ESPN, and Ivey is the No. 1 overall prospect is the Scout recruiting rankings.

Fullback and UF-lean Chandler Cox, Ivey’s teammate, will also be visiting with him. They attended Florida’s Junior Day together on Feb. 1.

The Gators will also host offensive lineman commit Tyler Jordan (Jacksonville Bishop Kenny) as well as quarterback Dwayne Lawson (Tampa Hillsborough), offensive tackle Jake Fruhmorgen (Tampa Plant) linebacker Tevon Coney (Palm Beach Gardens) and cornerback Marcus Lewis (Washington, D.C./Gonzaga).

The latter four recruits are top targets for Florida at those positions, and all of them have UF at or near the top of their leaderboards.

Ocala Trinity Catholic linebacker Darrien McNair, a Mississippi State commit who was offered by the Gators earlier this month, also plans to visit Saturday.
