Florida is set to host a pair of Rivals250 members Thursday.
Tampa Sickles athlete Ray-Ray McCloud III told the Sun he and Tampa Bay Tech athlete Deon Cain will visit UF together. Rivals ranks them as the nation’s No. 10 and No. 14 athletes, respectively.
The 5-foot-10, 172-pound McCloud is being recruited by Florida as a running back, while Cain (6-1, 190) will likely end up at receiver over defensive back.
Both prospects spoke with The Sun at the Under Armour combine in January about UF and their recruitments. Since then, Florida State has emerged as the favorites for them.
Thursday’s visits will be very important for the Gators, as they try to showcase their new offense with Kurt Roper and close the gap on FSU’s lead.

Interesting Zach…..I see Ray Ray almost daily as he goes to the school I am at….In fact I met Coach Muschamp when he visited Ray Ray..He did not tell me that FSU was on top in fact just the opposite…
Everybody’s in love with halfassu right now, it’s what happens when you’re national “chumps.” If these young men want to go to a place where they’ll be told the truth by the administration and coaching staff, where they’ll get all the help they need to do well in class, and where they’ll get an education that will benefit them after they retire from pro ball (no reason to tell them they aren’t going to the League, none of them will ever believe the truth, that they may make it but they won’t last). If they want the best for themselves in their lives after football, UF is the only place for them…But, if they only want to play football, skip class, hit on chicks, then halfassu is where they ought to go…
Hey mb – Did musCHUMP tell ya to get a grip?
No….he was very nice actually…
Hey Zach, now that it’s been 8 months or so since Matt’s mystery virus, does anyone know what it actually was? For something that was so devastating (to him) how come no one else got sick with it? Viruses are contagious aren’t they?
Delray Mike, I heard matt had mono. I don’t think anyone will ever confirm that.
