Florida’s big recruiting weekend is days away, but talk about bad timing.
The Gators are suffering through a six-game losing streak, will likely get blown out by Florida State and could have a few coaching changes after the season.
Those realities are going to make it hard for UF coach Will Muschamp to sell his program to prospects, but dozens of them will be on hand nonetheless.
Below is a running list of visitors planning to be at the FSU game. This blog will be updated with any new additions or cancellations that occur.

Its a tough season. But no season is exactly the same. We will be ok in time. I still believe in this team and this staff. A consistent kicker makes this a 8 win team this year. LETS GO GATORS!!! WE WILL FIGHT NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME. GATOR PRIDE!!! COME GET SOME ANYONE!
The gators needs to come close to clean house for sure replace the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach to start with.
Glad to see plenty of Florida commits there! Good chance for them to sell to the other guys the chance to play together.
An upset win would be a great way to end this terrible season and would also send a positive wave to recruits about the program. However, an upset is unlikely but just hoping for some Gator spirit and tremendous effort in the Swamp on Saturday. Go Gators!! Rise Up!!!
Don’t worry about any of the recruits attending the game. I don’t see the most important one listed, anyway. Hell all the Gators need is a kicker, he will magically turn a four win team into an eight win one. I must admit I was wrong all these years, all that matters is a kicker. Go forth and find one, Will, that guarantees next years team will win at least eight!
The way things are going doubt we can even keep it close. All these guys in attendance is a bad thing unless we can compete like the SC game. Blowout just stirs the pot in a bad way. No easy or quick fixes. This coaching staff sets the program back 5+ years, not sure they have a clue how to get back on track.
Why would these kids not want to come to UF? Besides the great academics they would almost be guaranteed playing time as freshmen. There is serious need at ALL positions. Win or lose this game, it should be a no brainer. Go to UF and play or go to 1/2 ass U and ride the pine. If they are that dumb we don’t want them!
The recruit names on this list are good reasons for everyone with season ticket to not sell them to anyone in “Crime Nole Nation” and show up at THE SWAMP and raise some proud GatorNation noise. Rise Up GatorNaiton!

I just thought about this today – nobody is really expecting us to beat FSU and they shouldn’t based on all the injuries and how we looked against GA Southern.
But remember last year when, despite our record we barely beat that powerhouse Sun Belt team Louisiana-Lafayette by a blocked punt returned for a TD. We should have lost that game. But then we found a way to beat FSU in Tally. So anything is possible on Saturday, it’s a rivalry game so it’ll be hard-fought. Go Gators!
I think my argument is an indictment against Pease & why he needs to be replaced. 2 years in a row he has struggled to bring explosiveness to our offense. It’s time for change!
Beat down at high noon and flip your recruit. I hope Robinson and Taylor transfer to FSU. Cook is already on board. Laugh now cry later.
FSU is butt hurt that the 4-8 Gators are still more re;evant than the 11-0 team out west. Rather be a Gator on a bad day than a criminole on a good one!
A fine list of recruits and our coaches have worked hard to get these guys to consider playing for the Gators. What these recruits want is an opportunity to play and show what they can do! The door is wide open for them at UF! Thse recruits are not stupid, they also want a valuable degree and an excellent education, this they will have at UF and many of them know this! Football is for three or four years, an education lasts a lifetime! Be a Florida Gator and you can receive both!!
“Remember not getting what you want can sometimes be a wonderful stroke of luck.” I use this quote for 2 reasons. 1. It looks like Cook is about to decommit. I want Cook to, but this could be a blessing in disguise for us. With Jones, Taylor, Showers, Lane, Brown, and Herndon on board the halfback position is one position I’m not worried at all about! Maybe this opens the necessary space for a kicker. 2. Muschamp is staying next year. I know no one likes this and I’m in the camp of those thinking he should be fired. BUT I trust Foley and I also believe Muschamp will still become one of the greatest young coaches of this era with Florida or with someone else. If Muschamp is able to turn this thing around and he become that great coach while at Florida then we luck out. I know many oi you don’t like this, but Muschap is coming back next year and nothing is going to change that. Foley knows how the fans feel and he still thinks Muschamp is the man for the job, so griping and complaining isn’t going to change that. It’s ok to have your opinion and speak up about it. Don’t think I’m saying you’re not a real fan if you want Muschamp fired. Trust me I think all that means is you care that much. BUT there comes a point where you accept reality and support your team. You don’t have tp support the decision to keep Muschamp, but in all kinds of weather we all stick together. There comes a point where you need to focus on the positive and supporting your players instead of continually bringing up the negative that you’re not going to change. Go Gators!
FSU fans have an inferiority complex. Despite the score of any game they play against UF, they will continue to be the weaker, less respected institution (sports-wise and academics-wise). I’m a graduate student at UNC-Chapel hill, and outside of the state of Florida, FSU is viewed as a glorified junior college in the panhandle that had some good football teams in the 90s. The place really is perceived to be a poor joke. What a legacy.
I think if a player wants to be Gator bad enough he will come to Florida and see they need help real bad!! I know that we don’t have a criminal playing quarterback for us!! I hope FSU get clobbered if they play in the National Championship against ALabama, Auburn, or whoever it is!! They have a lot more criminals that have played for them through the years than we have!!
Thanks, TJ! I agree with your perspective on Cook decommitting and on Muschamp staying. Muschamp gets a final opportunity with a roster of healthy players. Thanks in large measure to all the injuries this year, Muschamp gets a two-deep with experienced depth behind the starters. Bama, LSU, the Dawgies and Chickens all have to break in new QBs, too. Changes on his staff notwithstanding, we’re going to find out if this guy can coach and we will then at least all agree that Jeremy Foley, a fair man, has given Will every opportunity to succeed or fail. I hope Muschamp turns out to be a big-time Gator winner, but…

THE GATORS NEED ANOTHER TEBOW AS A TEAM LEADER SURE HE WAS SURROUNDED BY OTHER 4 AND 5 STAR PLAYERS , BUT HIS ENCOURAGEMENT BROUGHT OUT THE BEST IN THESE PLAYERS AND THEY PLAYED TO THEIR ABILITIES AND IT CAUGHT ON TO THE REST TEAM
