Massive tackle from Maryland visits Florida

Brock Ruble was by far the biggest body on Florida’s practice field Tuesday.

The 6-foot-8, 325-pound offensive tackle from Maryland (Hyattsville/DeMatha Catholic) came with his father in tow to check out UF and meet offensive line coach Tim Davis, as well as running backs coach Brian White.

“I really liked it. I got to see some of the academic stuff, got to see the facilities around here, and got to talk to coach White and coach Davis. I enjoyed it all,” said Ruble, who also spoke briefly with Will Muschamp.

The three-star prospect was offered by the Gators on May 7 and also holds offers from the likes of Florida State, South Carolina and Tennessee, which were schools he visited just prior to his visit to Gainesville.

Ruble doesn’t have any leaders or a timetable for making a commitment, but he knows what will go into his decision.

“I’m taking a lot of things into consideration: offensive line coach, relationship with him, relationship with head coach,” he said. “There’s a lot of things to think about, and me and my family are going to sit down and talk about it. Not sure about everything right now.”

  1. I hope he will return before making a decision, how much could he have learned from that visit?? That’s really a question(to me), unless his evaluation is heavy on their visits to him and phone communications. Has anyone seen his foot work? Mass only kicks ass when your in the correct place. GO GATORS!!!!
