Don’t forget to post your questions for the weekly recruiting mailbag (every Wednesday) in the comments section below. And for updates on Alabama-Florida, follow me at Twitter.com/JeffBarlis.
Jeff, if I’m Diggs & Agholor, I’m licking my chops at the prospect of coming to UF because this year’s receivers have shown NOTHING in the way of being able to compete at a high level. Combine that with the fact that Demps & Rainey will be gone next year, this Weis offense is BEGGING for instant playmakers. Does this help us in their recruitment? Or does it hurt because they may believe we can’t coach WR’s?
3 names I expected to see. Stefon Diggs, Matt Jones, and JJ Green.
Also, is it safe to assume that “not sure” or “maybe” is pretty much “no”? These are probably all issues with rides. The direction the NCAA is headed is gonna have these kids traveling alone in their own vehicle soon.
Still a more impressive list than i expected. this really is the most intense game from a recruiting stand point
Just read an interesting article on Trent Richardson and how things would be different had he followed his mentor and fellow Escambia alum Emmitt Smith to Florida. It got me thinking. Which recent recruit, that we lost out on, could we use the most? Sammy Watkins would be my pick the way he’s been tearing it for Clemson and since he’s a position of need for our current team. What are your thoughts?

Ton of talent is going to be at the game!
Dont get blown out! That would be bad for recruiting!
@NicktheNole….I guess that means your recruiting is non-existant with two loses in a row and the last one to the #22 ranked team in the country.
@NickTheNole,
WOW! that was a very deep and well thought out comment!
@ Nick the Nole
Dont start out the season 2-2. That would bad bad for recruiting. Wait a minute…………. Too late.
It’s gotta be fun for the prospects to come and see a HUGE game like this. Good Job, Mr. Barlis!!! I can’t wait to find out what impact this weekend has on our potential recruits! Now call your Mother!
Jeff!
Is Noah Spence not going to be at this game? Does it seem that we are among the favorites to land him?
Gatorbait and GatorsEverywhere,
I will go away for now, but I will be back on October 9, 2011 and I will point out how we both have 2 losses and we are still BOTH good football teams, were just a year or two away!
The noles have been a year or two away for 10 years now…
Given that fsu was ranked #5 at the start of the season, it just goes to show how snowed the ratings contributors are over jumbo fisher and his recruiting. As we all know, “it ain’t who you get, it is how you coach ’em up.” And, jumbo is not half the coach he is as a recruiter.
Not a comment but recruiting question. Who do you believe will be the next commitment!! Also, whom, if any, are committed elsewhere but could be turned to UF. Realistic chances by %. Thanks..
Vegas Harley is making his way to the game as well, is getting recruited by both Florida and Alabama!
I bet we see a highlight of Run Fred Run on the video board. well, we better hint, hint
