After visiting Florida in March, Greenwood, Ind., Center Grove defensive tackle said he’d push Florida to the top of his list if he got an offer. Well, a month later he’s gotten his offer, but he’s going to hold off on crowning the Gators as winners for his services.
“It’s pretty awesome,” Hale said via text message. “I’m keeping all my options open.”
The 6-foot-4, 290-pound lineman said Florida is recruiting him as a defensive tackle, but other schools are interested in him playing offensive tackle. He prefers defense, which should give the Gators the edge at this point.
Hale said he still wants to visit Florida over the summer at some point, but isn’t sure when he’ll be able to get back down to Gainesville.
