USA Today released its All-USA high school football team Wednesday and many players involved with Florida made the cut. I’m not going to put the entire list up, but I’ll show you guys Gator commits and other guys of interest to Florida.

  1. Ed,
Could you list the Gators “must have” recruits in order of those still undecided, and the chances they’ll come to UF?
Second, I don’t understand, if we lose 25 seniors, and eight juniors, why can’t we replace them with 33 scholarship offers?
    Allen, class of 68

  2. Hey Edward,
With six out of sixteen in our pocket (including two that haven’t come out and confirmed their committment)and five others that are giving us a shot, we are in line for a really nice class. If all fell, which is higly unlikely, I think we wouldn’t even have to argue who had the best class in the nation this year. Here is my take:
Henderson – depending on what the Pouncey Twins do.
Floyd – giving us a look, but just can’t see him in O&B, Ohio State in my opinion.
Jeffcoat – too many Texas ties.
Powell – one of those silent but obvious
Dunkley – another silent but obvious – glad Coach moved quickly to get Azzanni in which helped with Dunkley.
Hicks – Momma likes Texas and his relationship with Muschamp is too much to overcome.
That leaves OO and Wilder (who is 2011) and OO recently dropped us from contention and most likely a Cal guy with Martin.
So with all that we are still looking good with the possibility of any of the uncommits.
