Former Syracuse and Connecticut head coach Paul Pasqualoni is joining Florida coach Dan Mullen’s coach staff as an off-field special assistant, according to a report on Yahoo Sports on Monday.

Pasqualoni, who has 17 years experience as a head coach, will work on breaking down opposing defenses for Mullen’s offense, according to the report.

Mullen served as a graduate assistant under Pasqualoni at Syracuse in 1998.

In 14 years at Syracuse, Pasqualoni compiled a record of 107-59-1. He was the head coach at Connecticut from 2011-13. He also served as an assistant coach in the NFL.
