Tim Brewster’s impact at Florida continues to be felt despite the program having yet to announce the coaching staff addition.
Nick Elksnis, a three-star tight end out of Episcopal in Jacksonville, committed to Brewster and the Florida Gators early Saturday, less than a week after backing off a prior pledge to Penn State.
After much thought and prayer, I am overjoyed to announce my commitment to the University of Florida. I was raised a Gator by my grandmother and now itโs time to play as one!! #formygoodbutHISglory @TimBrewster @CoachDanMullen @EpiscopalEagles @ProImpactJax7v7 @ReturnOfJamez pic.twitter.com/bEMQAvQYfe

Elksnis, the No. 15 tight end in the 2021 class by 247Sports, visited Florida’s campus Feb. 1 for the first Junior Day of the cycle. He’s the second tight end to commit to the Gators since Brewster’s arrival in Gainesville after UF landed Tampa product Gage Wilcox.
With the addition of Elksnis, the Gators hold commitments from 14 prospects in the 2021 class, which currently ranks No. 2 nationally by 247Sports.
