Now that the Gators have signed 21 players in the 2020 class, UF can begin prioritizing the 2021 class on the recruiting trail.

With the Early Signing Period still open for 2020, the Gators landed their eighth verbal commitment in the 2021 class when 6-foot-5 offensive lineman Javonte Gardner out of Jones (Orlando, Fl.) committed to the program Friday.

Despite being in the early stages of his recruitment, Gardner already holds offers from UCF, Tennessee and South Carolina, but that didn’t stop him from giving UF his verbal commitment.

With Gardner’s commitment, Florida’s 2021 class is up to No. 4 in the nation by 247Sports.

  1. Impressed with Gardner’s size – he may very well be serving up pancakes on his blocks. I think I will send him some blueberry syrup to inspire him to flatten his opponent (gotta enjoy those pancakes) – GO GATORS!!!
