Now that the Gators have signed 21 players in the 2020 class, UF can begin prioritizing the 2021 class on the recruiting trail.
With the Early Signing Period still open for 2020, the Gators landed their eighth verbal commitment in the 2021 class when 6-foot-5 offensive lineman Javonte Gardner out of Jones (Orlando, Fl.) committed to the program Friday.
I Made My Verbal Commitment 🤫..

Despite being in the early stages of his recruitment, Gardner already holds offers from UCF, Tennessee and South Carolina, but that didn’t stop him from giving UF his verbal commitment.
With Gardner’s commitment, Florida’s 2021 class is up to No. 4 in the nation by 247Sports.
That’s what I’m talkin’ about — way to go, Coach! 👍
Impressed with Gardner’s size – he may very well be serving up pancakes on his blocks. I think I will send him some blueberry syrup to inspire him to flatten his opponent (gotta enjoy those pancakes) – GO GATORS!!!
BLUEBERRY ?!!!!!!!?????!??!??!????!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????????!?!????????1?
Can you send me some? I’m in Izmir, Turkey.
Blueberries will give you the drizzlin’ shyts, Sam, if you haven’t had them in a while. We’ll send you some good old Lakeland strawberries instead! 🤓
Agreed – I live just north of Cocoa, FL.
Glenn — I attended school in Cocoa Beach and the Satellite High School. Used to hang out with a guy named Ronnie Offenhauser from Cocoa or Rockledge, didn’t know until later that his father was the guy who made the famous racing manifolds and exhausts. Wonder if that family is still down there. Imagine it’s about they size of Orlando by now.
Anyway, Merry Christmas & Go Gators!
Are you in the military? Either way, feel free to visit our family – we live just a few miles from Port Canaveral, Florida. I served in the US Army right after Viet Nam.
Send me your address – blueberry syrup is to die for (delicious)!
