Florida senior defensive end:

Q: What is it about this very good Georgia offensive line? Is it just their size?

A: Yeah, they’re massive. If you look at the film, there’s no way around it, there’s nothing bad you can say about Georgia’s offensive line, there’s nothing bad you can say about Georgia’s team period. All respect to them, but they’re a great team, we’re a great team, too. It’s gonna be a really good matchup, but we’re going in with a chip on our shoulder just because we lost last year, so all that’s just going to take into account and give us more motivation to get the dub.

Q: Is this the biggest game you will have played in?

A: Off of just pure what’s at stake, yes. We’re excited for it. We’ve got a bad taste in our mouth from last year. This game changes everything. If we win, we get where we want to be. We’ve just got to do our job from that point on. We lose, it makes it that much harder, and the place we want to go, that window gets very slim.

Q: Is this game why you came to Florida?

A: Yeah. I would definitely say that. I never played Georgia. I always watched them. I always wanted to play them. I always wanted to play in the SEC. Getting a chance to do that now, to play against a top team, a team that’s been in the national championship, just like many other teams as well, it’s going to be a fun one. I’m excited for it. I’m just ready to get back out there.

Q: How do you counter that big UGA offensive front?

A: Play physical. We don’t switch our game. Just come out there and play physical. We know what they want to do. They want to run the ball, impose their will, use their big, physical O-linemen, which they do very well. But we’ve just got to break it. I like our chances. I like my boys. I know they like their boys, but I like my boys against anybody. Just tune in.

Q: Is the defense going to be healthy for the first time in a long time?

A: Most definitely. We understand what we have when we’re all healthy. It shows. When we’re all out there, we have one — in my opinion — we have the best defense in the country. With us healthy, we can make some really good plays. We can make some plays against really good teams. I think we can do that. Not think. I know we can do that. We’ve just gotta play our game, don’t do anything out of the ordinary. Follow the game plan and follow the keys to victory.

  1. Thanks Greenard for becoming a ”Gator!” And while I’ve watched my hometown, lifelong favorite team, Florida Football, play in 4 National Championship games (some fans, like Vandy, etc… NEVER see ”that day”), I truly want to see you fellas ”ball in the ATL in early Dec.” And then it’s ”ya never know.” And please, please put Fromm on his backside today. I want to see grass stains on his ”siver britches!” Go Gators! Just win baby!
