Florida’s 2020 class is well on its way to keeping the “D.B.U.” tradition alive in Gainesville.
Jahari Rogers, a 6-foot, 170-pound prospect out of Arlington (Texas), committed to the Gators over Texas, according to Rogers’ Twitter account.
UF coach Dan Mullen confirmed Rogers’ commitment via his own Twitter account.
Rogers, ranked the No. 10 cornerback in the 2020 class by the 247Sports composite despite playing quarterback last season, took an official visit to UF on May 17. He plans to play cornerback during his senior season to prepare for Power Five football.
With the addition of Rogers, which is non-binding until he signs a letter of intent, Florida has 18 commitments in the 2020 class.
AWESOME – JAHARI ROGERS IS A VERY WELCOME ADDITION TO THE GATOR SECONDARY AND WILL HELP US CONTINUE THE UF TRADTION OF BEING “DBU” – GO GATORS!!!
Texas has a lot of momentum so to go in their back yard…nice pickup!
Lots of talent in Texas. Great to see Jahari Rogers commit. This class is back to gaining momentum with the season coming soon & then early signing. Welcome to the O&B Jahari!
High school football really is king out here, and the state is loaded. Jimbo is probably factoring in the fact that a lot of them don’t go to Texas, Texas Tech, TCU or Baylor and being that he’s in the SEC now he’s smart to do that. Next to Florida, we should always recruit Texas hard. IMO, of course.
All I know is it’s 39 days till we kick the snot out of scUM. Can’t wait.
Great to have Jahari! I can see this guy coming to the offense now and then as a special weapon ATH. If you haven’t watched a video on him yet take the time. The last guy I saw that came to Florida with a similar running style and that breakaway speed was Percy Harvin
Welcome to the Gator Nation Jahari. You will make a great addition to DBU. I hope you’re not the last Dallas metroplex area player to sign with UF this season. If you know E.J. Smith, please try to convince him to join you in Gainesville next year.
A high school QB? Joe Haden was a high school QB and he turned out to be a pretty darn good DB.
Welcome Jahari!
GO GATORS!!!
