Florida’s highly ranked 2020 class took a hit Thursday with the de-commitment of Jaheim Bell.

A 6-foot-3, 213-pound athlete out of Valdosta, Georgia, Bell pledged to UF during the spring game, but that didn’t stop former Gators coach Will Muschamp from escalating South Carolina’s pursuit of the three-star prospect.

While several recent Florida commits noted their intentions to “shut it down” after committing, Bell remained open and took an official visit June 7 to South Carolina.

With Bell’s departure, Florida’s 2020 class stands at 17 commits.

  1. Corey, SHP, G-6, and Jaws – all 4 of you had very good one liners…LOL. Maybe Bell got caught up in the star system and figured he would have a better chance to start there. No matter the reason, what that does is make room for a student athlete that wants to be here. GO GATORS!!!

  2. If we plan on competing with Saban and Dabo we cannot settle for a 3 Star anyways. Mullen and staff I believe, can make good players great. It is time the Florida to Tuscaloosa and Clemson train gets derailed.
