Florida’s 2020 class didn’t need to wait long before benefiting from Saturday’s high-scoring Orange and Blue game.
Jaheim Bell, ranked the No. 23 overall athlete in the 2020 class by the 247Sports composite ranking, committed to the Gators and coach Dan Mullen after attending UF’s spring showing.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Bell attended FSU’s spring game the week prior, yet left Tallahassee still in search of a landing spot. It didn’t take long for the Gators to secure a commitment from the Valdosta, Georgia, native, who gives Florida its 10th verbal commitment in the 2020 class.
Just watched a highlight video on this kid. Looks like a stud. Plays on the LOS, out of the backfield, and out wide. Great size. Tough to bring down. Makes catches in traffic. Goes up and gets the ball. Not a bad blocker either. I believe CDM and co will find a place for Mr. Bell to make plays. Feels good to pull one out of GA too. Looking forward to seeing him in the orange and blue.
Unless you and your family are die hard FSU native fans/alumni, etc, could ANYONE with an offer from any other major program, select FSU with all their known and unknown issues???
All is well if we’re bringing in Bell with the 2020 class. Defending the recruiting turf and landing local talent is a must to put this program back on top.
Yes, landing local talent is certainly a must, but landing the #23 overall athlete from UGA’s own backyard is priceless. I’m sure his recruiting is far from over though.
