Florida’s 2020 class didn’t need to wait long before benefiting from Saturday’s high-scoring Orange and Blue game.

Jaheim Bell, ranked the No. 23 overall athlete in the 2020 class by the 247Sports composite ranking, committed to the Gators and coach Dan Mullen after attending UF’s spring showing.

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Bell attended FSU’s spring game the week prior, yet left Tallahassee still in search of a landing spot. It didn’t take long for the Gators to secure a commitment from the Valdosta, Georgia, native, who gives Florida its 10th verbal commitment in the 2020 class.

  1. Just watched a highlight video on this kid. Looks like a stud. Plays on the LOS, out of the backfield, and out wide. Great size. Tough to bring down. Makes catches in traffic. Goes up and gets the ball. Not a bad blocker either. I believe CDM and co will find a place for Mr. Bell to make plays. Feels good to pull one out of GA too. Looking forward to seeing him in the orange and blue.
