Following Anthony Richardson’s decision to rejoin Florida’s 2020 class, the Gators are showing no sign of slowing down on the recruiting trail.
Avery Helm, a 6-foot-2 defensive back out of Fort Bend Marshall High (Tx.), announced his decision to become the ninth member of UF’s 2020 class with a simple graphic on his Twitter account late Sunday afternoon.

Helm picked up an offer from Florida on Jan. 26, and the four-star prospect already holds an impressive 23 scholarship offers. But that’s seemingly inconsequential now as UF has landed a verbal commitment from 247Sports’ No. 23-ranked defensive back prospect.
With the addition of Helm, the Gators have received verbal commitments from nine prospects in the 2020 class.
