Florida junior defensive tackle
Q: How do you avoid a sluggish start coming out of the bye week?
A: Just bring motivation and energy every day in practice. That’s about it. We’ve got to use the bye week as an advantage to feel more healthy, to feel more energized to come out harder instead of getting sluggish and tired.
Q: What are the keys to stopping Georgia’s playmakers?
A: Play assignment football. We hold our gaps, they won’t be able to run up the middle, and we have more than enough pass rushers. So, if we stop the run, then it’s over with.
Q: Do expect this to be a fast and physical matchup, especially with both teams coming out of the bye?
A: Yeah, I think it’s going to be that way just because of the emotions behind the game and what this game means to both teams. It’s just going to be an aggressive game.
Q: Have you ever played in a neutral-site game in an NFL stadium?
A: Yeah, I played in a couple games like that in my previous school (West Virginia), it’s a great experience playing in an NFL stadium. It’s definitely different, just because the fans, there’s a lot of emotions into it, and you feel like you’ve got to win. You’ve got to come out on top. Like not more than any other game, but it just means more.
Q: How do you stay calm and focused for a big game like this?
A: I just think of it as it’s the next game. It’s a big game, but it’s also one of the many that we have. So, you’re playing to win every game, so just think about it as the next game and it’s not the only game we have. Just play it as a regular game and play your best.
