Hello everybody, and welcome to another edition of our Friday Night Lights live blog. The event will get going around 3 p.m. today and continue into the night, but we’ll be bringing you news and updates throughout the day as the event takes shape. Make sure you bookmark this page to keep up with everything happening in Gainesville.
9:31 p.m.: With everyone in the stadium, service wasn’t working and I was unable to update the live blog inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Jalon Jones participated in drills; something uncommon for top QB prospects at a camp. There were multiple highlight plays by unheralded wide receivers in drills, and a large portion of the UF team showed up to help instruct and hype up many of the campers. I’ll have a recap coming soon with quotes from Jones and a top 2020 prospect.
5:56 p.m.: Despite the event so far being closed to the public, I’ve seen multiple top targets here on campus — Bryan Bresee, QB Jalon Jones, Lloyd Summerall, Keon Zipperer and Diwun Black to name a few. I’ll have more updates when we are allowed access in an hour.
4:21 p.m.: UF is not opening the Indoor Practice Facility on campus to the media or the public during a portion of Friday Night Lights. That’s a first in recent memory. A portion of the stands at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium will be open after 7 p.m.
12:28 a.m.: UF tight ends coach Larry Scott sent out a rooftop shot from a nearby apartment complex pool. Recruits and campers continue to arrive in Gainesville.

11:52 a.m.: Top 247Sports tight end Keon Zipperer is on UF’s campus visiting. There was some concern Zipperer would back out at the last minute, but that’s not the case. He and Lloyd Summerall are visiting UF’s campus now and meeting with the coaching staff.
11:44 a.m.: 247Sports reporter Luke Stampini reports Ole Miss commit Diwun Black is touring UF’s campus already.

11:35 a.m.: One of the top 2020 prospects, Sav’ell Smalls, announced he’s arrived in Gainesville on his Twitter account. The Gators expect to have multiple five-star 2020 prospects in attendance today.

8:35 a.m.: Before the event begins tonight, the Gators received some unfortunate news: Kayvon Thibodeaux, ranked the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2019 class, announced on social media he would be unable to make the trip to Gainesville after his flight was cancelled.
Flight cancelled not going to UF . I’m irritated
