Redshirt freshman Ventrell Miller, one of nine players suspended last season for credit card fraud, is starting to have an impact at linebacker.
He’s had several big hits in the two scrimmages and came up with an interception in Saturday’s.
“Ventrell had a nice interception, a really nice play on an interception,” UF coach Dan Mullen said Monday. “Made some good plays, made some other mistakes.
“I try to keep in consideration he’s a guy that didn’t play last year as a young guy, sat out a year. He’s still getting used to being back in football.”
Wow, that was a remarkably in-depth feature on Miller.
🙂
TampaGator: Not meant as a feature, just a bright pulled from Robbie’s notebook.
Well, it was still a good one. Tell Robbie thanks.
Thanks, Arnold. But I am an old school journalist at heart. Hugh Cunningham is rolling over in his Florida School of Journalism grave.
TampaGator: Doubt it because Mr. Cunningham would have read it in print, where the items are merged to form one notebook. It’s a long version. We just split it up for the web product.
Click bait in other words; gotta keep them advertisers happy.
Arnold. Hugh would frown heavily on today’s journalistic reporting, and not just sports reporting. But it is a different time. Not sure it is a better time for journalism, however.
It’s going to be interesting to see how much “talent” this team really has. Players have been so under-developed for years but with a new coaching staff and program, maybe we’ll start to see guys reach their full potential. We don’t have Bama’s roster yet, but I’m thinking its going to be a whole lot more fun this fall to watch than it has been.
I agree Rog. Looking forward to seeing the boys play. Starting with the Orange and Blue game this Saturday. Go Gators !
Can’t be much worse, Rog. I actually find myself wincing, almost as though I were in pain, when watching at times last season(and for several seasons before, though last was the worst). Almost anything would be better.
Except a dog playing QB. That would be worse.
There have been nothing but dogs at QB since 2009…
Glad he got a second chance!! Looking forward to seeing him on the field
Total click bait. You got me. Shame on you Sun.
