Only four Florida players made the Coaches’ All-SEC team that was released Tuesday, led by senior cornerback Duke Dawson, the only Gator on the first team.

Three Gators made the second team — offensive tackle Martez Ivey, place-kicker Eddy Pineiro and punter Johnny Townsend. UF placed six players on the AP All-SEC team that came out Monday, with Townsend the only first-team selection.

Dawson, Ivey and Pineiro also were on the AP team, along with true freshman cornerback CJ Henderson.

Dawson, who played at Dixie County High School in Cross City, tied for the team lead in interceptions this season with four. He also recorded nine pass breakups and 34 tackles.

Pineiro led the nation in field goal percentage, hitting 17 of 18 attempts (99.4 percent). He closed out the season by hitting 16 in a row.

Townsend was one of the nation’s most productive punters in 2017. He averaged 47.5 yards a punt and had 27 punts inside the 20-yard line and 27 punts of 50 yards or longer.

The coaches’ individual award winners will be announced Wednesday.
