Florida cornerback C.J. McWilliams (hamstring) is still out and not expected to be available for Saturday’s game, while freshman tight end Kemore Gamble (foot) is considered highly questionable.
Starting outside linebacker Kylan Johnson (hamstring) returned to practice on a limited basis last Friday and should be available for Saturday’s game, McElwain said.
“Kylan I guess is the one that’s still a little iffy, and he’s a guy we need to have,” UF coach Jim McElwain said Monday. “He went through practice on Friday, some of the individual stuff and some of the walk-through stuff. We’re looking to see how that goes today, but we’re expecting him to be able to play.”
If Johnson can’t go, redshirt freshman Jeremiah Moon would start in his place. Depth would come from former walk-on Cristian Garcia and true freshman Lacedrick Brunson.
“Lacedrick Brunson had a really good camp,” McElwain said. “He’ll be ready to go.”
