Texas offensive lineman says he’s transferring to UF

Texas sophomore offensive tackle Jean Delance, a four-star recruit coming out of high school in 2016, announced on Twitter on Monday that he is transferring to the University of Florida.
“Blessed & proud to announce I’ll be continuing my education and football career at The University of Florida!!!” he wrote on his account.
Delance, an Under Armour All-American from Mesquite, Texas, played in two games for the Longhorns last season as a freshman. He left the team last week with the intention of furthering his career elsewhere.
Per NCAA transfer rules, the 6-foot-5, 309-pound Delance will have to sit out the 2017 season. He was recruited by the Gators coming out of high school, but signed with Charlie Strong and the Longhorns.
