Florida true freshmen Kadeem Telfort was/is expected to be in the playing rotation at offensive tackle this season. In the aftermath of his suspension Sunday, junior Tyler Jordan’s versatility has come into play.
A past starter at guard and center, Jordan has moved to right tackle this week.
“Tyler is pretty versatile,” Martez Ivey said. “He can play center, guard, tackle. He’s at tackle this week. He’s big right now with Telly being out. Next guy up. And Nick Buchanan is doing a good job stepping in as well.”
Jordan has been a quick study at his new position.
“It took him about a day to get used to it,” Ivey said. “He said he hasn’t played tackle since high school. He went out there and handled it like a man and went about it like no problem at all.”
