Florida’s 2018 class landed a verbal commitment Thursday from a 6-foot-5, 235-pound tight end out of Warminster, Pennsylvania.
Kyle Pitts, the No. 11-ranked tight end and No. 252 overall prospect in the 2018 class by 247Sports, verbally committed to the Gators in a video produced by Bleacher Report.
Pitts committed to the Gators over offers from Georgia and Virginia Tech, and Florida helped seal the deal after the four-star prospect took an unofficial visit to Gainesville in June.
With Pitts’ commitment, which is non-binding until he signs a letter of intent, the Gators have nine commits in the 2018 class.
