The three players accompanying Florida coach Jim McElwain to SEC Media Days next week will be senior cornerback Duke Dawson, senior safety Marcell Harris and junior offensive tackle Martez Ivey, the league announced Wednesday.
The Gator contingent will be in Hoover, Ala., next Tuesday, the second day of Media Days. It’s the first time Florida has not appeared on the first day since 2009.
Two of the UF players will be at new positions this season. Ivey has made the move from offensive guard to offensive tackle, his more natural position, while Dawson has switched back to cornerback from safety/nickel.
The SEC Network and ESPN will once again be on site to bring SEC Media Days to a national audience.
Six times since 1992 has the SEC Media Days predicted champion proceeded to win the SEC Championship, including two of the last three seasons.
