Bears defensive end Jonathan Bullard prevented Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz from escaping the pocket and chased him down from behind to record a third-down sack that held Philly to a field goal attempt in Chicago’s 31-3 road loss to the Eagles Sunday.

Bullard got consistent pressure all day as the Chicago defense forced four fumbles, recovered three as the Bears now are the league-leaders in recovered fumbles (11).

The second-year D-lineman’s sack on Wentz was his first this season and second of his NFL career.

Around the NFL, Jets safety Marcus Maye had seven total tackles in New York’s 35-27 home loss to the Carolina Panthers. Maye had at least two plays where his tackle saved a Panthers touchdown, and he recorded his fourth game this season with at least seven tackles.

Falcons safety Keanu Neal recorded eight total tackles and two pass deflections in Atlanta’s 34-20 win over Tampa Bay.

Oakland safety Reggie Nelson assisted the Raider defense in making its first interception of the season on a bizarre play where linebacker Navarro Bowman made the INT while lying on his back.

On the play, Denver quarterback Paxton Lynch threw the ball in the end zone, Bowman tipped it then Nelson tipped it a second time and the ball fell into the hands of Bowman as he was on his back. Here it is in simpler terms:

Wide receiver Louis Murphy made two catches on four targets for San Francisco and scored a touchdown on a pass from Jimmy Garoppolo in Garoppolo’s first drive with the Niners.

Colts linebacker Jon Bostic made 11 total tackles in Indianapolis’ 20-16 home loss to the Titans while teammate Antonio Morrison added six tackles and a pass deflection.

Detroit linebacker Jarrad Davis recorded seven tackles for the Lions in their 30-23 loss to Minnesota on Thanksgiving. Cornerback Teez Tabor also made an appearance on the stat sheet with one solo tackle.

Bengals Defensive end Carlos Dunlap recorded half a sack and five tackles in Cincinnati’s 30-16 win over the Cleveland Browns (0-11).

Patriots running back Mike Gillislee was inactive again this week and hasn’t played since October.

Gillislee still leads New England in rushing attempts (98) and rushing touchdowns (4), but with New England having its best game statistically on the ground, it’s hard to imagine Gillislee getting back on the field, barring an injury.

  1. we are at or near the top of total nfl players, maybe bama and lsu have been getting their guys in higher rounds due to coaching, but mullen should fix that to our favor. i think the program, after time, will not just reliably win 10 per year, but the players will start going higher in the draft
