The Madison Square Garden crowd gave Knicks center Joakim Noah a standing ovation on Monday as the 11-year veteran checked into a game for the first time since February of last season.

Noah has been serving a 20-game suspension for violating the NBA’s drug policy that extended into the first 12 games of this season.

The 32-year-old reportedly tested positive for an over-the-counter supplement that has been outlawed under the league’s collective bargaining agreement, but according to the NBPA Noah cooperated fully and determined he didn’t knowingly violate the policy. Here his is blocking a shot in his first game back:

The Knicks lost Noah’s season debut to Portland but Noah managed to score two points, blocked a shot and grabbed a rebound in just three minutes of playing time.

Celtics center Al Horford broke out of a four-game scoring slump with 21 points in a 108-98 road-win against the Pacers Saturday. Horford accessorized his stat sheet by adding five rebounds, six assists and three blocks and shot over 50 percent from the field against Indiana.

Wizards guard Bradley Beal scored in the mid-twenties in all three of Washington’s games this week. In the game they won, Beal shot over 60 percent. In the two games they lost he shot 31 and 41 percent, respectively.

Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons came down awkwardly in the first half Memphis’ game against the Brooklyn Nets (7-12) on Sunday and it’s uncertain whether he will return for the Grizzlies first game without former head coach David Fizdale on Wednesday.

Fizdale was fired Monday after the Grizzlies had lost eight straight and 11 of 13, including home losses to Dallas and Brooklyn this week.

Magic forward Marreese Speights has seen an uptick in playing time recently and is shooting a decent percentage but it isn’t producing wins for the Magic who have lost eight straight games after a strong start.

Mavericks forward Dorian Finney-Smith has not played since November 12 as he is still battling tendinitis in his knee.
