Former Florida guard Jalen Hudson will get an opportunity to work his way into a job in professional basketball when he announced Friday night on social media “Summer League with the @cavs. Grateful for the opportunity! Let’s get to work.”

The 6-foot-6, 195-pounder struggled in his senior season for the Gators. He averaged 9.3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game after posting 15.5 and 3.9, respectively, as a junior.

He will try to prove his worth with the Cavaliers’ summer team.

  1. I don’t see Hudson as NBA material, nor the top European league. Maybe in Italy or Israel. I actually think he has lost his confidence and his enthusiasm–at least based on his 2018-19 season, when he was dropped from the starting 5 to a reserve spot in the rotation. I just didn’t see him playing with any fire, and he was supposed to be a top 50 NCAA player. Good luck.
