Udonis Haslem is continuing to lean toward retirement after the season, saying Tuesday night he is “90 percent” certain that his 16th year with the Heat will be his last.
Haslem said in September that he is retiring, and hasn’t wavered much since.
“There’s a huge life outside of basketball that I’ve been preparing for and that’s been waiting for me,” Haslem said.
The Heat still value his leadership, and may want him back next season.
One of the toughest and gutsy Gator of all time. Gave 100% on every play and pounded the backboard on both ends, most times against a taller defender. Good luck and more success to you in the future.
A true Florida guy! Played HS basketball at Miami Sr. High, college ball at UF for 4 years and his entire 16 year NBA career in Miami with the Heat. He will be missed. Maybe White should see if he could help coach up our front court group once he retires.
