Florida’s 2019 class landed its second commitment in as many days, catapulting the Gators to No. 4 in the 247Sports composite ranking.
On Tuesday night, Scottie Lewis, a five-star small forward out of Ranney School in Eatontown, New Jersey, verbally committed to the Gators over Kentucky via a video posted to his Twitter account.

Lewis is ranked one of the top prospects in the 2019 class, as the 6-foot-5 prospect comes in ranked No. 11 overall in 247Sports’ composite rankings. Florida’s class began to take shape Aug. 29 with the addition of dynamic five-star point guard Tre Mann, and White and co. landed guard Alex Klatsky as a preferred walk-on two weeks later.
And power forward Omar Payne’s commitment Monday night gave Florida one of the state’s top front court prospects, and gave White a recruiting coup over rival Florida State.
With Lewis’ commitment, the Gators have four commitments, and coach Mike White appears poised to finish with the highest-ranked recruiting class in his four-year tenure.
