The Florida men’s basketball team will make three appearances on CBS and all but two of its regular-season games will be broadcast over the air, according to the SEC TV schedule released Wednesday.
Florida’s home game against Michigan State at noon Dec. 8 will be on CBS as will road games at Georgia (noon, Jan. 19) and Kentucky (2 p.m., March 9). The latter game closes out the regular season.
Early season home games against Charleston Southern and LaSalle will be streaming on SEC+, but every other game will be on a network.
That includes the opener at Florida State, which will be at 9 p.m. Nov. 6 on ESPN2.
Florida will face Oklahoma at noon Nov. 21 in The Bahamas on ESPN with the game times and networks of the other two games of the three-day tournament there to be determined.
Florida’s game time of its Dec. 29 game at home against Butler is yet to be determined pending a possible bowl game for the Gator football team. It will be on ESPNU.
Five conference games will be on the SEC Network and all remaining SEC games not on CBS will either be on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.
The game at TCU on Jan. 26 in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge will be at noon on one of the three ESPN channels.
Florida is coming off a second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament and a third-place finish in the SEC. The SEC Tournament will be March 13-17 in Nashville.
Another Gator hoops season with challenging games and a probable NCAA berth.
It is interesting to note that the basketball program is outperforming the football program.
I hope both programs will return to their championship ways.
GEAUX G A T O R S!
GAG8R is right to say, ”the U.F. basketball program is outperforming the Florida football program.”
Because going to ”March Madness” is like making a bowl game, and going to the “Elite 8” is like going to the Orange Bowl. But in all fairness, it’s much more difficult to recruit and coach up ’85’ good football players, than it is ’15’ good basketball players. Either way, I’m just so excited for the… wait for it… ”THE BIGS” to be BACK at U.F.! Woo-hoo! Go Gators! Shoot, dunk, and ”reject” the comp, Gator Basketball! Chomp-chomp!
