Florida rising junior center Gorjok Gak underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Wednesday.
The projected recovery time for Gak is four to six months, which means the 6-foot-11, 245 pound center from Sydney, Australia will likely miss summer workouts but should be ready for preseason practices in October.
Gak dealt with soreness and swelling in his knee throughout the 2017-18 season, with pain limiting his practice time and minutes. In 29 games this past season, Gak averaged 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 8.9 minutes per contest.
Praying for you speedy recovery Gak. Thanks for playing through the pain for the Gators this year. Hope you come back stronger and ready to play next season.

Hoping to avoid that stokes, egbynu 15 mo recovery.
Your cynicism is good stuff. His wheels are forever shot. At best, he will give Florida 6-8 minutes/game with minimal production.
B t w, since the season ended, Stokes hasn’t lost a pound and Johnson is still dealing with the pillow concussion.
Put Stokes on Gak’s diet and put his weight on Gak’s frame, and switch out their knees while you are at it and we will have a player who can play and make a difference.
