Florida reached No. 5 in The Associated Press Top 25 college basketball rankings after a thrilling double-overtime win over Gonzaga in the PK80 Invitational. The Gators have gone south since then, dropping spots each week while losing three of four and falling out of the rankings.
Florida (6-4) dropped out of the poll completely this week after losing to Clemson, its fourth loss in five games.
The Gators next host James Madison (4-8) at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Villanova is No. 1 for the second straight week, receiving 45 of 65 first-place votes from a media panel. Michigan State stayed at No. 2 and received 15 first-place votes, with Arizona State getting the final five first-place votes to match its highest ranking as a program at No. 3.
Wellllllllllll duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rankings are earned, not given. Looks like Santa brought some orders of reality a little early.
And well deserved!!!!
Watch out for the the Vols!!!!!
All of these Gators need to regroup, and recommit. Some need to re-establish (inside the paint). And the coaches may even need to re-evaluate the Gators’ play in the paint. Handle all that before SEC play, and the placement of the Gators in the polls will recover. Go Gators!
Hi gators basketball team
