Florida junior guard KeVaughn Allen and senior point guard Chris Chiozza were named to the coaches preseason All-SEC team on Friday.
Allen averaged a team-high 14 points for the Gators last season while shooting 37 percent from 3-point range. A two-year starter, Allen has amassed 923 career points and is closing in on becoming the 51st player to score 1,000 points in Florida basketball history. Allen also has been named as one of 50 players to the Naismith Trophy Watch List.
Chiozza averaged 7.2 points and 3.8 assists for the Gators and will take over point guard duties full-time this season with the departure of senior Kasey Hill.
