Florida junior guard KeVaughn Allen was named as one of 32 players to the USBWA’s Oscar Robertson Trophy watch list on Monday.
The award is given to college basketball’s top player in the country. The 6-foot-2 Allen averaged a team-high 14 points per game for the Gators while shooting 37 percent from 3-point game last season. With 923 career points, Allen is set to become the 51st player in UF history to reach the 1,000-point scoring mark.

Allen is one of seven SEC players in the list, joining Texas A&M sophomore forward Robert Williams, Georgia senior forward Yante Maten, Alabama freshman guard Collin Sexton, Missouri freshman forward Michael Porter, Jr., Kentucky freshman forward Kevin Knox and Kentucky freshman guard Hamidou Diallo.
