Thanks to two midweek games postponed because of weather last week, Florida only played three games, a weekend sweep of Troy. The undefeated Gators remained No. 1 in the latest D1Baseball Top 25 Rankings released Monday.

Florida goes for its school-record 12th consecutive win to open a season Tuesday night against Florida Atlantic at FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. Pitching matchups have yet to be announced.

D1Baseball editors Aaron Fitt and Kendall Rogers determine the Top 25 rankings. Records are through games of Sun., March 1.

  1. Are u implying that they would have lost to Troy if they had to have played those 2 games?
One thing I know for sure, they would have won both of those games considering the competition(Stetson,FAMU) and could have been 13-0 by now. When they do finally lose a game their record will be 2 games less than it could have been! As it stands now they look to go at least 16-0 (FAU,FAMU,USFx3)before a chance of a loss. Then they will have a game against FSU, then Ga.x3. Of the next 5 games their closest chance of a loss is their next game at FAU; they are pretty good; not as good as UF but they could pull off an upset. What is apparent is that there is alot of tough competition in the SEC this year; some of these teams have very good records!
