Florida enters the NCAA tournament as the No. 1 overall seed, but dropped to No. 2 in the D1Baseball Top 25 rankings Tuesday, ending an eight-week run as the No. 1 team.

Oregon State takes over the top spot in the poll. The Gators and Beavers are the only two teams that occupied the No. 1 spot during the regular season.

  1. The difference between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Both GREAT players. Jordan wanted to win EVERY time he touched the ball. LeBron only wants to win enough to be crowned. Gators baseball reverted to the LeBron model at the end of the season.

I prefer Jordan over LeBron for GOAT.

    • The question is whether you want to be considered the best team, which is debatable, or the champion, which is not. The Warriors won a record number of games two years ago, but didn’t win the championship. Are they the best team ever or just the best team that didn’t win a championship? While I agree with Jordan as the GOAT, despite his desire to win every game, he didn’t win every game. My guess is, he wouldn’t trade any of the six championships for an undefeated regular season.
