Florida remains atop the D1 Baseball rankings this week. The Gators will next play at Texas A&M starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
X-rays on junior third baseman Jonathan India’s hand came back negative. He will be OK for UF’s next series this weekend. India was hit in the hand Saturday in the eighth inning against Auburn and was removed from the game for precautionary reasons. He leads the team with a .401 batting average.

Obviously the voters didn’t get the memo that “you’re not the number 1 team if you lose to Mercer and JU”…lol. Sully will get the pitching settled down and UF will be the favorite all postseason.
Dude, we are losing with our mid-week freshman pitchers, not the weekend rotation. We have not lost an SEC series this year, THAT is why we are #1. Not because we play well in mid-week games, get it?
Sparky’s just poking fun at a comment another poster made after the Mercer loss about how Number 1 teams don’t lose to teams like JU and Mercer. You’re correct in your assessment of why UF is still No. 1, and if you look at Sparky’s comments on other baseball articles, you’ll see that he’s well aware that.
Thanks Joe. Some of our spoiled fans expect us to win every baseball game by 8-9 runs. The rest of us realize that Sully has proven over the years to possibly be the best baseball coach in the Country. Enjoy the ride while we have him leading our team, nothing lasts forever.
Go Gators!
LOL
No such memo…
