The top-ranked Florida baseball team tunes up for an important SEC series this weekend with today’s 6 p.m. game against Jacksonville at McKethan Stadium.

Jacksonville (24-9) is expected to start senior righty Nathan Disch (0-1, 10.05 ERA) on the mound, while UF will start freshman righty Jack Leftwich (3-1, 3.56).

The Gators are 32-6 with a 12-3 SEC record at the midway point of the league schedule. With their 30th win last Friday night vs. Missouri, the Gators became the second-fastest team in school history to reach 30 wins, just one game shy of the 2016 team that started 30-5.

Florida’s record in SEC games is its best start in league play in 11 years under coach Kevin O’Sullivan.

Today’s game can be heard on AM-850 and 98.1-FM or streamed on ESPN Watch.

UF will visit No. 6 Kentucky (25-11, 7-8) for a three-game series starting Thursday.
