Florida’s 2020 class is quickly taking shape, as the Gators have landed their third commitment in the span of three weeks.
Niels Lane, a 6-foot-5 guard out of Roselle, New Jersey, committed to the Gators on Tuesday over UConn, Virginia Tech, Miami and Texas. Rivals
Ranked the No. 64 overall prospect in the 2020 class by Rivals, Lane has a close friendship with Gators freshman Scottie Lewis that dates back several years, meaning Lewis likely helped behind-the-scenes with Lane’s recruitment to Gainesville.
Lane, ranked the No. 16 shooting guard in the 2020 class by Rivals, is expected to sign with UF in November before arriving on campus next June. He joins junior college power forward Osayi Osifo and forward Samson Ruzhentsev in the class.
