Florida’s 2020 class picked up a sizable commitment from an in-state prospect Friday.
Jovens Janvier, a 6-foot-3, 350-pound offensive guard out of Miami Christian School, committed to the Gators while on an unofficial visit in Gainesville.
Janvier, ranked a three-star prospect and the No. 42 offensive guard by the 247Sports composite ranking, committed to offensive line coordinator John Hevesy and UF coach Dan Mullen over offers from Baylor, Louisville and LSU.
Janvier previously committed to Louisville and coach Bobby Petrino, yet backed off his pledge a month after the head coach’s departure.
With Janvier’s commitment, which is non-binding until he signs a letter of intent, the Gators have 13 commitments in the 2020 class.
