Celtics center Al Horford has more assists through 41 games than any center in Celtics franchise history at 197 assists and no center since 2006-2007 has had more assists than the Dominican Republic native through 41 games.
Horford is even outdoing himself this year as he already has two more double-doubles (10) than he did all of last season.
Boston’s big man actually missed a game this week with some sort of knee issue but did travel with the team across the pond for Thursday’s London game against the 76ers.

Around the NBA, Wizards guard Bradley Beal averaged 27 points in three games this week as the relationship between his field goal percentage and team wins continued. Beal shot a whopping 78.6 percent in Washington’s win over New York and shot 50 percent in a win over Memphis. In Washington’s loss this week, Beal went 7-19 from the field (36.8 percent) and 1-for-7 from the three-point line.
Beal has now scored 20 points or more in seven straight games and is averaging career highs in points (23.7), rebounds (4.4) and assists (3.7). It seems the return of John Wall has not hindered Beal’s ability to light up the stat sheet. ]
Magic forward Marreese Speights averaged seven points and four rebounds in three games this week, but the results weren’t ideal as Orlando fell to Houston, Cleveland and Brooklyn.
Lakers forward Corey Brewer scored in double-digits in back-to-back games for the first time since 2016, with 12 points against Minnesota and 10 against Oklahoma City.
Mavericks forward Dorian Finney-Smith is listed as out in Dallas’ matchup with the Magic on Tuesday and Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons hasn’t played in a game in January, missing four straight contests thus far.
The Wizards made it two former UF standouts on the roster Monday when they recalled forward Devin Robinson from the Delaware 87ers of the G-League. Robinson averaged 13.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in 22 games for the Delaware this season.
