ESPN released its first 2014 recruiting and team rankings on Thursday.

Texas took the top spot and Florida checked in at No. 2, followed by Texas A&M, LSU and Florida State.

Four of UF’s nine commits made the ESPN150, which is less than half of what the Gators debuted with in 2013. Nine of their verbals were in the initial rankings last year, but they already had 15 members in the class.

Florida once again leads all states with 26 players in the ESPN150. However, the Sunshine State had six five-stars in the previous recruiting cycle and there are currently none for 2014.

  1. Thanks Zach! Hopefully soon you can do a write up on the new coaches and how they may pan out in recruiting and to what effect the loss of Coach Young will have.

(that is if you have not already done so, end of the semester crunch)

  2. LOL! FSU will fall out of the top 12 by the time recruiting is done for the 2013 year and ends on NSD in February 2014. They ended up out of the top 10 this past year with a concensus #11 class after being concensus #10 the year before.

UF? Concensus #5 the year before and Concensus #4 this past year. UF has absolutely owned the state in recruiting the last two years.
