Florida's last home game against LSU had an attractive atmosphere. (Doug Finger/The Gainesville Sun)

Florida’s biggest recruiting weekend of the year is just days away and you can already feel the excitement for LSU. This game is huge not only because so many top prospects are expected in, but it will be a measuring stick for them to see how the Gators stack up against the nation’s elite.

Almost all of the UF commits are visiting, but no one is going to be on their official. That will happen the weekend of Dec. 8 for Florida’s banquet.

Here’s a running list of confirmed attendees that plan on coming. Over 50 kids will be there at the least, but the ones I have below are the most notable. This blog will be updated every night with any new additions or cancellations that occur. I’ll also have a preview story on Thursday night.

  1. Such a huge weekend for the team now and the future! We need this one!

Is Ebenezer Ogundeko visting like Scout has listed?? What ever happened with him? I thought i remember him nearly committing to us earlier in the year and now i haven’t heard much about him but i till think he would be a good pick up

  2. I want to win so bad I can taste it you guys. Man I hope we start fast and finish strong. The Band needs to bring it this week and help pump up the team with some on time new Jams. Let’s not waste our time talking about who is not in the building. If they were that interested or important they would be here for this one. Hope Foley has the fireworks ready on standby. Can’t wait, Lets go Grind’em. Go Gators

  3. What’s happened to our good buddy EMK? A victory Saturday would put us in great shape with all of the commitments and prospects. Plus, a victory would continue the growth, confidence and momentum into the rest of the season. GO GATORS.

  4. EMK was banned. I presume his making unfair and inflammatory remarks toward Zach personally was the last straw. EMK was an idiot who got his jollies ruffling peoples feathers. Imagine that guy around the family or in the work place. I bet he’s a barrel of laughs…Just be glad he’s gone…

  5. Although I didn’t agree with him much I enjoyed some of EMK’s banter that spiced things up. His glass half full way of life gets old but still fun sometimes.
Daniel M. please stop with the Tunsil talk. So Done with that guy. Lets see why Adams is really here and find out if T. Brown is a Gator yet. Need to get 2014 class rolling already. Got of to a great start just need to keep up the momentum. One more big named guy early and it will really start rolling for us. Then we can put Bama on notice. The reckoning is coming.

  6. Great opportunity at hand. Get this one and we’ll have to turn away a lot of really good recruits for years to come – starting with this year’s class. The ‘computers’ will love us, confidence will become contagious again, Orange & Blue will appear brighter than ever and UF will again be known as an NFL factory. Muschamp must be sleepless…I know I am! “FIGHT TIL YOU DIE G.A.T.A.!”

  7. Kain Daub (2014 recruit) is the kind of primo dona (sp?) that UF can do without. He transferred from Nease to Sandalwood because Shane Mathews wouldn’t put up with his crap. Kain has all the measurables (size and strength) and the look (tatoos and dreadlocks), but he can’t play football worth a lick. No one at Nease was sorry to see him leave.

  8. What’s our chances with Clemson commit Demarcus Robinson?

I’d love to steal some WR recruits from Clemson like they’ve been stealing from UF (Sammy Watkins et al). Let’s hope that a solid win saturday can lock in a #1 recruiting class. GO GATORS!

  9. Things are looking up boys! Can’t wait to destroy my vocal chords Saturday. Let’s make The Swamp the loudest, most volatile environment in CFB again!! This obviously holds a ton of importance in the recruiting aspect. It’s so nice to feel confident in a game like this again.

  10. I agree with all of you guys. I’m so hyped for the return of Gator Nation!! i really hope the SWAMP is jumping…I want that atmosphere to be something these recruits have never experienced.

Also, Daniel M. Tunsil is done. With the emrgence of Humphries there’s 0% chance he comes to FL. He wants to play LT and Humphries is locking that down for the next 3 year(he’ll def. bail as a junior). And, I don’t mind cause Humphries is more talented.

What happens if we gets a rush of commits or flip some people and we hit the ceiling as far as our class size. What happens then? Do we turn commites away? I’ve just never heard how that process works.

Anyways, let’s get a good jump start on the 2014 class with a big time win at home baby. CHOMP CHOMP!!!! Gation Nation is resurecting once again!! Oh and as always…thanks Zach. Solid material!

  11. GEAUX TIGERS!!!! We are soooo excited you all nice Gator fans have invited our LSU Tigers over for the weekend; we will BYOB and bring ya some great alli-gator meat recipes that have been in our bayou families for years! Oh and don’t worry us Tigers ain’t lookin ahead to the Gamecocks next weekend like we were at you last weekend’s sleep walk over a good Towson team. Now I would add we have great yardbird family recipes too we will share with the USC fans making the trip to Red Stick, La; this is the best two eating weekends on our schedule!!
Remember don’t use any words you wouldn’t in front of your grandmomma Saturday and just know the wounds will heal in time after we head home to God’s Country!!
    See ya Soon Alli
Mike the Tiger and his Boys of LSU

  12. I’m finished with Tunsil, and the whole Lake City scene. We have good and great players and will get more after Saturdays win. If he and Walker want to be apart of the Gator Nation, they would have to speak up this weekend or no later than Monday or I would use my time and efforts on someone who wants to be a Gator. Both those guys are great athletes (and I would love to have both) but if they are seeking “lips on the A..) let them move on to the kissing houses other nations. Their are a bunch of talented athletes coming to town this weekend, we are bound to get some. GO GATORS!!!!

  13. im absolutely pumped about this game!!!! a win and a commit or too and i might have a heart attack. oh and i also hear anzalone, shaq wiggins, and almost certainly elijah daniel may be coming as well. its our time boys and girls! #Just Win!!

  14. Programs rarely ‘openly’ drop a guy or ‘decommits’ unless the recruit in some way violates the conditional agreement/acceptance. To do othewise would be suicide in the recruiting wars. Schools will often hold off accepting the commitment from player b to buy time for player a’s pledge.
If a program is limited on scholarships and suddenly there is an influx of desired talent knocking on our door, wanting in…in that case, there are subtle ways to get what/who you want, but this route also has its limits…can’t take them all, no one can.

  15. Give credit to the fact Tunsil is coming to the game. He wouldn’t if he had 0% interest as some of you state. I agree that there is little chance he flips to UF, but what if he does? It would be great for us obviously; we would more than welcome him. Some of you on here are forgetting these are high school kids making decisions and we don’t get our way so you pull the ‘forget him’ card…lets grow up a little bit, we can’t get ’em all.
