I believe that if we continue to improve on the field this upcoming season, then our 2020 class will absolutely finish in the top 5. As I believe Pat wrote in a semi recent article, these recruiting classes will be judged on who sticks around. With CDM and Co’s Track record for recognizing, evaluating, and developing (the latter the most important) talent, I believe that the 2018, 2019, 2020, and beyond, all have the potential to be top 5 classes. If we can put a thorough beat down on Miami and FSU, and close the already narrowing gap between us and Bama/UGA, than the recruiting will become that much easier. I’m tired of these out of state and lesser in state schools poaching our hotbed of talent. Soon enough, we’re going to have our choice of the Florida boys we want (and some out of State), and let the bottom feeders fight for the rest. Come on August 24th, and Go Gators!

Always the Noles for me. Things like the Earnest Graham getting his leg twisted, Bowden and Jimbo’s refusal to suspend their good players, and the ACC officials robbing us 2003. That’ll always be the beat down I want most. I’d love to put a whooping on Auburn this year too. It’s been a while since we’ve done that. Plus they’ve ruined some undefeated seasons for us in the past.

That’s a good one Pappa. The Gator nation would’ve been behind that pick, and Bell wanted to be here. Instead we got Ropered. Muschamp obviously didn’t learn his lesson as he hired Roper again at SC. Muschamp was in my opinion, the worst football hire we’ve had in a long, long time. That’s saying a lot considering his successor. I was a huge fan of the Zooker except for his record of course.

Stl, that Miami squad was tough, but I think Spurrier staying would’ve kept Gaffney around another year as well. Grossman in his third year at the helm, throwing to Him and Taylor Jacobs, would’ve been a lot for that Miami Defense to handle. As it was, Grossman was in his second game of the Ed Z offense, and it showed. Plus our defense was still learning a new scheme as well. It would’ve been a great game and possible UF victory I think.

I’d be happy for Charlie. They don’t deserve to have him as their coach though. Let’s hope that Willie does just enough to hang on

It may not be a popular choice, but I’d take Durkin if the position were to become available.

My last post was supposed to begin ‘Stl’, not ‘Ark’. I hate autocorrect

Ark. My thoughts exactly. The ncaa gets dragged through the mud enough already (and rightfully so). The last thing they probably wanted was to add racism to their already tarnished image.

Thanks 6. It’s great to be back. No particular reason for the large gap between posts. I guess it’s sometimes more fun to sit back and read everyone else’s thoughts. I’ll try and put myself out there more.

I was asking myself the same question yesterday. It seems like something might be going on. I honestly have no idea. My thought to myself was simply a hunch, and nothing more. It’s funny that you asked though. That’ll make me continue to wonder.

Thanks for shedding some light on that for me. I had actually forgotten about the racism story.

You’re probably right GI. In my scenario, I guess I was assuming Spurrier left the next year, and we had 1 less year of the Zooker and 0 years of Muschamp/McElwain. That would’ve been amazing. And yes, the heisman voters should’ve been charged with a crime in 2001. Also, the voters in the Big 12 region also should’ve been charged in 2009 for (if I remember correctly) all of them putting Tebow behind Bradford, McCoy, and Harrell on their ballots.

One more scenario. What if we hadn’t been robbed by the ACC officials against the Noles in 2003 (still haven’t let that one go)? And if the next year against the Vols, the ref that clearly saw both punches thrown, had called offsetting penalties instead of just the 1 against Dallas Baker. Would Zook have kept his job a year or 2 longer?

Call me a homer, but there have been some major injustices done to our beloved program. Just saying.

Haha. Did some painting the other day. It’s dry now. Now I’m back to waiting for some football. I haven’t been able to catch the AAF yet. Hopefully that’ll suffice
