One thing to consider is competition. Grier had a bit less as a passing QB in his time here. The result would be more snaps with the first team offense and minutes overall. That’s going to lead to more rapid development. Grier was the #1 QB of his class and a Parade All-American. The general perception was he was a better talent and more polished right out of high school.
I think Franks will be a good QB at Florida. He has the potential to be great. We’ve seen some highlight reel moments in his brief run as starter. He clearly has a lot to learn yet to command or offense, instead of just playing in it.
